Growing up as a dancer their are certain corrections and ideas that you will hear over and over again from your teachers. It makes sense then when you become a dance teacher yourself that you would pass on those ideas. And on it goes.
But every now and then we need to stop and considered the merit of some long held notions in dance. As research progresses and we learn more and more about our bodies it is important that the information reaches over into the dance world and that teaching methods and ideas are correspondingly updating.
