Danielle began dancing at a young age, under the guidance of her mother and in her early teens she took up a scholarship with the Victorian College of the Arts and then at the Halliday Dance Centre where she trained with numerous international guest teachers. After further intensive solo training with Brett Morgan Director of the National Ballet School, she was offered a contract with Ballet Omaha (now Ballet West) in the USA aged 16.
Whilst overseas, in addition to dancing with Ballet Omaha, Danielle continued to further her training at the Winnipeg Royal Ballet School where she was trained in the Russian classical style from teaches from the Bolshoi and then took up a scholarship to further her professional work with the Joffrey Ballet School based in New York City. During this time, Danielle was honoured to receive an award for “outstanding Achievement in the Arts” in the Australian Young Achiever Awards
In 1993, after two years dancing professionally overseas, Danielle felt the pull of Australia, returning to Camden to begin teaching part time at The Academy. And has continued to do so ever since. During this time, she has had 3 children and owns and run her own Pilates studio.
