Learning to dance teachers you so much more than just how to dance.
Anyone who learns how to perform is also learning how to remember long sequences, how to work as a team, how to think on their feet, how to adapt quickly to new environments. Having the opportunity to perform often comes with nerves and anxiety. These things are a part of life, performing does not eliminate them but it does teach children how to deal with these feelings and overcome them.
Performance gives children a chance to express themselves in a way perhaps they struggle to do in words. It builds confidence and self esteem. And perhaps most importantly it gives them a great sense of achievement. Performance cant happen without endless hours of practice and dedication and hard work.
